Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the government is working double time as it responds to the impacts of Hurricane Beryl. 

According to the Prime Minister, care packages are being distributed to affected residents and power restoration efforts continue. 

He said even in St. Elizabeth which suffered the brunt of the damage, power has been restored to some communities. 

Mr. Holness also called on citizens who are still without power and might be frustrated as a result, to be patient.

Mr. Holness who was speaking at the Jamaica Defence Force’s First Of Response base at Portland Cottage in Clarendon yesterday urged citizens to continue to have faith.
