Prime Minister Andrew Holness says domestic violence has displaced several Jamaicans from their homes, creating a crisis of homelessness.

Mr. Holness made the comment during the handing over ceremony for a home in St. Mary today.

He noted that persons who have benefited under the new Social Housing Programme include several affected by domestic abuse and arson.

He challenged citizens to play a critical role in the reduction of violence in the country, especially within the family
