The Government has promised to absorb the cost of labor force training as an incentive to investors.

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness made the announcement at the MJS Industrial and Technology Park opening ceremony yesterday.

He noted that the country needs to resuscitate its manufacturing base.

Dr. Holness highlighted the concern with providing certain types of incentives, because these could result in fiscal challenges.

He also noted the concern about providing a safe environment within which businesses can operate, pledging that the Government continues to tackle this issue.

Dr. Holness said that not having any new tax imposed in over seven years is another form of incentive that encourages investors to create businesses.
