Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has highlighted the importance of technological advancement in achieving the Vision 2030 National Development Plan.  

Speaking last night at the Amber Group’s – 10th Anniversary Gala & AI Innovation Showcase, Prime Minister Holness said technology will play a crucial role in realizing the Vision 2030 development goal which is to make Jamaica the place to live, raise family and do business. 

He noted that when 2030 arrives Jamaica will have to re-evaluate the next era of development which he said, must incorporate technology.

Dr. Holness said  as artificial intelligence increases,  the country must develop a great partnership between people and AI.

He reiterated that citizens must not be fearful of AI but to use the technology to increase the level of skills in society, so that citizens can take on higher order tasks and receive higher order pay.
