Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness has hailed Edward Seaga as a transformational leader whose purpose was rooted in serving the people of Jamaica.

Speaking this morning at a floral tribute at the shrine of the former Prime Minister, Dr. Holness said that in today’s world there is an urgent need for leaders who prioritize the welfare of the people above personal ambition.

This he highlighted as a quality that Mr. Seaga exemplified throughout his life and career.

Dr. Holness praised Seaga’s lifelong dedication to public service and nation-building.

Today would have marked Mr. Seaga’s 95th birthday.  

He died on May 28, 2019.
