PM Holness departs for U.S. to attend 80th UN General Assembly
Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness departed the island for the United States this morning to represent Jamaica in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The high-level meeting, which is being held in New York, presents a vital platform for Jamaica to reaffirm its commitment to international cooperation and shared action in confronting global challenges.
Dr. Holness left Jamaica with Minister of Water, Environment and Climate Change, Matthew Samuda and is slated to return on Friday.
They will join Foreign Affairs Minister Kamina Johnson Smith, who arrived in New York at the weekend.
