PM calls on diaspora to engage relatives and friends in Jamaica about importance of controlling violence
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has called on Jamaicans in the diaspora to actively engage their relatives and friends in the island about the importance of controlling violence.
Speaking last evening during the Lets Connect with Ambassador Audrey Marks virtual forum Mr Holness outlined the governments new 2 prong mission of peace and productivity.
He pointed out that socialised violence, must be dealt with.
He added that hate speech, will also have to be addressed.
Mr Holness said Jamaicans in the diaspora, can guide the discourse on the issue, with Jamaicans back home.
