Planning Institute says sporting, entertainment events augur well for Jamaica’s economy
The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) says Jamaica should continue to emphasize sporting and entertainment events, as these have augured well for the economy.
PIOJ’s Director General, Dr. Wayne Henry made the comment during a quarterly press conference.
Dr. Henry noted that contractions in the Tourism industry for the October to December quarter were tempered by events that helped pull visitors to the country.
