Pepsi-Cola Jamaica welcomes Govt’s decision to review the new provisions of its SCT on non-alcoholic sweetened beverages
Pepsi-Cola Jamaica has welcomed the Government’s decision to review the new provisions of its Special Consumption Tax (SCT) on non-alcoholic sweetened beverages.
Finance Minister Fayval Williams made the announcement following a tour of Pepsi-Cola last week.
Her tour forms part of ongoing consultations between the Government and the manufacturing sector about the new tax.
Mrs. Williams noted that it will help her team refine the industry guidelines to ensure production is not disrupted while the government collects the revenues on behalf of the Jamaican people.
Speaking with IRIE FM News, Transformation Manager at Pepsi-Cola Jamaica, Anecia Levy said the minister’s disclosure about the review reflects the collaborative dialogue the working group was built for.
