Parliament to officially launch its website in October

The Houses of Parliament will officially launch its website in October.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Juliet Holness made the disclosure during the opening ceremony for the 48th Regional Conference of the Caribbean, the Americas and the Atlantic region of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association yesterday.
The conference is being held under the theme “Strengthening Parliaments in the Digital Age” the conference runs until September 5.
Mrs Holness said the development of the website represents an important step in making Jamaica’s Parliament more accessible and responsive.
She said every piece of legislation and document that exists in Parliament would be available on the website.
Mrs Holness noted that the platform will also have live streaming capabilities.
