P-STEB Head says traffic congestion associated with return of more students to school this morning was cleared quickly
The police’s Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (P-STEB) says traffic congestion associated with the return of more students to school this morning was cleared quickly.
Head of P-STEB Assistant Commissioner of Police Gary McKenzie made the statement to IRIE FM News.
He said there was free-flowing traffic after 8 A.M. in many towns across the country, including the Kingston Metropolitan Transit Region (KMTR).
He also noted that newly-acquired Jamaica Urban Transit Company buses also helped to ensure that commuters, especially students were transported to their destinations.
He noted, however, that the continued disregard of the road code by motorists led to obstructions.
