Over 90 pounds of ganja seized in Kingston, two men arrested
More than 90 pounds of marijuana was seized by the marine police near the Kingston wharves, in Downtown Kingston, yesterday (June 5).
Two men who were allegedly seen preparing the marijuana for export were taken into custody.
Reports are that at about 11:30 PM, police were patrolling the area when the men were seen in a canoe.
The vessel was searched, which resulted in the seizure of ninety-one pounds of marijuana, several tools, and dive tanks, along with other diving gear.
Two men who were aboard the vessel were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, dealing in marijuana, and taking steps to export marijuana.
Their identities are being withheld, pending further investigations.
