Over 70 persons accused of involvement in praedial larceny have been arrested, so far this year.

Agriculture Minister Floyd Green gave the update while speaking in Parliament yesterday.

Mr. Green noted that the Jamaica Constabulary Force is in the process of transforming its Praedial Larceny Prevention Unit into the Agricultural Protection Division.   

Mr. Green said in addition to the arrests, over 130 matters are before the courts.
