Over 30 stolen motor vehicles recovered in Spanish Town, due to use of Jamaica Eye
Over 30 motor vehicles that were stolen have been recovered in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, since lawmen in the area began using the Jamaica Eye closed circuit television (cctv) surveillance system.
Sub-officer in charge of the Jamaica Eye St. Catherine Monitor Centre, Corporal Johnoy Forrest, made the disclosure as he recounted how the technology has significantly bolstered law enforcement efforts.
He also noted that the surveillance system has helped in reducing motor vehicle theft at shopping centres in Spanish Town, as well as detecting and preventing crimes in the area.
