Over $100M allocated for judgement debt returned to consolidated fund, due to unsettled matters
Despite paying out $530 million dollars in judgement debt, the government says some of the money allocated in the budget for debt payment, had to be returned to the consolidated fund.
Justice Minister Delroy Chuck, made the disclosure, during his sectoral debate presentation, on Tuesday.
He explained that $150 million was returned, because some litigants, who sued the government, did not settle their matters with the attorney general.
