Outgoing Appeals Court President Justice Patrick Brooks credited for increasing productivity of the court during his tenure
Outgoing President of the Court of Appeal Justice Patrick Brooks has been credited for significantly increasing the productivity of the Appeals Court during his tenure.
According to Chief Justice Bryan Sykes, there was a major increase in the number of cases being disposed of under Justice Brooks’ management.
The Chief Justice said Justice Brooks made the court into a more efficient institution, contributing positively towards nation building.
He was speaking this morning during a farewell message to Justice Brooks who proceeds on retirement today.
Brooks will be replaced by Justice Marva McDonald Bishop, who will become the first female president of Jamaica’s Court of Appeal.
