Origin of a Wailer: Peter Tosh docuseries available on YouTube

Peter Tosh Town: Origin of a Rebel Wailer, a mini docu series on Peter Tosh is now available on the official YouTube account of the reggae icon.

Narrated by Andy Livingston, directed in part by Tosh’s daughter, Niambe, the film fittingly premiered on the video sharing platform on 4/20, with executive producer, being the Peter Tosh Legacy and Brands.

The series explores the life and legacy of the reggae icon, as told by close friends, family and scholars impacted by his work. Spanning from his early days in Belmont, Westmoreland, to his rise with The Wailers, the series delves into his solo fight for justice while reflecting on the revolutionary spirit of the man the world knew as the Steppin Razor.

Born Winston Hubert McIntosh, Peter Tosh was one of the core members of the Wailers Band and a successful solo artiste. He was a relentless advocate for justice, equality, and the decriminalization of Ganja. He was murdered on September 11, 1987, during a home invasion in Kingston. He was only 42 years old.
