Public and private sector organisations and institutions are being urged to implement sexual harassment policies by June.

Gender Minister Olivia Grange noted that every employer and person in charge of an institution is required to issue a policy statement in writing concerning the prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace or institution.

The policy must be in place to avoid penalties.
