Opposition Spokesman urges NWC to release results of its water quality tests for the past three months
Junior Opposition Spokesperson on Health and Wellness, Jesse James Clarke is urging the National Water Commission (NWC) to release the results of its water quality tests for the past three months.
This comes as Mr. Clarke highlights ongoing concerns about the quality of water being produced by rural treatment plants across several communities in Kingston and St. Andrew.
The NWC previously rejected claims that its water supply in Kingston and St. Andrew is of poor quality due to a higher than normal level of contaminants.
The NWC assured that its water is safe for consumption.
However, during a tour in the Corporate Area at the weekend, Mr. Clarke, who is also the Chairman of the Public Health and Sanitation Committee of the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation reiterated his concerns.
He called on the NWC to release its results of water tests done recently.
