The Opposition says it stands ready to work with the Government as the country prepares for the storm, but communication has been lacking.

Speaking in parliament, Opposition Spokesman on Environment & Climate Resilience, Omar Newell said he was excluded from disaster preparedness briefings.

Mr. Newell who is the member of parliament for St. Mary Central has expressed concern about drain cleaning works.

He said the St. Mary Municipal Corporation has not received allocation for drain cleaning since July.

He also sought an update on the state of the over 8 hundred shelters.
