Opposition Leader says the PNP is better off when those who no longer support the party leave

Opposition Leader Mark Golding says the People’s National Party is better off when those who no longer support the party  leave.

Over recent days, reports have emerged of three former supporters of the PNP, publicly aligning themselves with the governing Jamaica Labour Party.

The latest announcement at the weekend was that Christopher French, who represented the PNP in the Alexandria Division in St. Ann in last year’s local government elections, had switched to JLP.

He was introduced as a member of the JLP during a party meeting in Clarendon on Saturday night.

Meantime, during Mr Golding’s presentation at a party meeting in Hanover last night, one supporter publicly declared that he was dispelling suggestions he had switched  parties.

Mr. Golding responded stating that persons should go where they feel more comfortable.
