Opposition leader Mark Golding says there are structural issues in the tourism sector that must be addressed.

Mr. Golding made the comment yesterday, while leading a tour of several craft markets in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.

Mr. Golding and other opposition members met with craft vendors and discussed the challenges they face.

Vendors at the Ocho Rios Craft Market highlighted a number of concerns.

Secretary for that market, Sharlene Henry cited infrastructure, marketing and ownership as major concerns.

Mr. Golding noted that the concerns highlighted by the Ocho Rios Craft vendors also ring true for others across the industry.

He stated that everyone in the craft business should benefit from it.
