Opposition Leader says gov’t needs to do more to reduce cost to regularize electricity
Opposition Leader Mark Golding says the government needs to do more to reduce the cost to regularize electricity.
Speaking during an interview yesterday, the opposition leader highlighted the high cost of accessing electricity legally for some households.
He said the announcement by Finance Minister Fayval Williams on assistance for those with illegal connections will only scratch the surface.
He said the government must not only reduce the cost of regularization, but also reduce the cost of electricity.
The opposition leader mentioned solar energy as one option that can assist in reducing the cost of electricity.
