Opposition Leader Mark Golding has criticized the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, led by Prime Minister Andrew Holness for what he described as its poor performance.
Mr. Golding said that despite Holness being in charge of the ministry for nine years, the Jamaican economy has not seen meaningful growth in recent years.
He noted that the economy saw a decline in performance in 2024.
Mr. Golding said the Prime Minister must be held accountable for the slowdown in economic activity.
Meanwhile, he emphasized that the People’s National Party (PNP) under his leadership is dedicated to improving the standard of living for the Jamaican people.
He was speaking at a candidate presentation in Western St. Mary last night.
