Opposition expresses concern about integrity of SSL fraud probe following reported theft of laptops
The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) says the reported theft at Stocks and Securities Limited’s Hope Road offices in St. Andrew, raises critical questions about the integrity of the ongoing fraud investigation at the entity.
Spokesperson on Finance, Julian Robinson says the Opposition is deeply troubled by the apparent security breach at SSL, which poses a significant risk of compromising crucial information vital to the multi-million U-S dollar fraud probe.
Noting reports that several laptops were stolen from SSL’s offices, Mr. Robinson says it is unacceptable that potential evidence stored within the laptops, might be tampered with or destroyed.
He is calling for the alleged perpetrators to be brought to justice.
