Opposition calls for investigation into all monies spent by JLP gov’t

Opposition Spokesman on Transport Mikael Phillips says an investigation must be launched into all the monies spent under the Andrew Holness led administration.

Noting that the Jamaica Labour Party has been in power for 9 years, Mr. Phillips says it must give an account of its spending.

Mr. Phillips says the probe must include housing projects such as the New Social Housing Programme and the Southern Coastal Highway project.

He claims that billions have been spent on the projects, but the desired results have not been achieved.

Mr. Phillips was speaking during the People’s National Party, PNP’s  launch of the North West St. Catherine campaign, last evening.

Senator Damion Crawford is the PNP candidate for the constituency in the upcoming general election.
