One person is dead and several other people are hospitalized, following a two vehicle crash along the Laughlands main road, in St Ann, on Friday.

Police say, the incident took place some time before 8:30.

It’s reported that the incident involved a guardsman bus and a Toyota wish motor car.

Occupants of both vehicles have been hospitalized, while the driver of the Toyota Wish motor car is confirmed dead.

The incident led to heavy traffic pile up in the area.

Head of the St Ann police, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell told Irie Fm news that lawmen were on the scene to help ease the traffic congestion.

SSP Powell also called on motorists to be cautious when traversing the thoroughfare.
