Omar Mcleod and Shanieka Ricketts both produced podium topping performances at the World Athletics Continental Tour
Rio 2016 Olympic gold medal winner Omar McLeod and two-time World Championships silver medallist Shanieka Ricketts both produced podium topping performances at Tuesday’s World Athletics Continental Tour meeting in Finland.
McLeod won the men’s 110 metre hurdles in a season best 13.25 seconds after earlier running 13.29 seconds in the heats.
Ricketts meanwhile won the women’s triple jump with a best effort of 14.17 metres.
Also in action at the meet was Tokyo Olympics finalist Brittany Anderson who placed 4th in her heat in the women’s 100 metre hurdles in 12.93 seconds, before returning in the final to clock a season best 12.87 seconds. The event was won by 2019 world champion Nia Ali of the USA in 12.48 seconds.
