ODPEM: No marooned community/uncollected bodies as at yesterday following Hurricane Melissa
There is no marooned community nor is there any report of uncollected bodies, as at yesterday.
Director General of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), Commander Alvin Gayle gave the update during a post Hurricane Melissa press conference in Kingston, yesterday.
Earlier this week, Commander Gayle highlighted two communities in St. James and Westmoreland, which were classified as marooned.
Yesterday, Commander Gayle informed that all communities are now accessible and relief efforts continue.
