Odin Samuels-Smith among three teenagers in Reggae Boys squad for upcoming Unity Cup in England
Odin Samuels-Smith and Marlon van de Wetering are among three teenagers who have received first-time call-ups to the senior Reggae Boyz squad after being named in a star-studded team for the upcoming Unity Cup in England.
Samuels-Smith, who plies his trade with English Premier League club Everton FC, and 18-year-old right back Van de Wetering, who plays for FC Eindhoven in the Netherlands, join Joel Latibeaudiere, Jeovanni Laing, Ronaldo Webster, Dexter Lembikisa and Cavalier FC’s Christopher Ainsworth in the defensive unit.
The defence will be led by the experienced Damion Lowe, who has made approximately 80 appearances in the national colours.
Meanwhile, also earning a first-time call-up in midfield is Courtney Clarke of English League Two outfit Walsall FC. He joins Isaac Hayden, Brandon Cover, Tyrese Hall, and local Premier League players Nickyle “Bashy” Ellis of Racing United and Dwight Merrick of Montego Bay United.
The two newcomers to the attacking unit are 19-year-old Simmonds, who previously represented Jamaica at the Under-17 and Under-20 levels, and 16-year-old Manchester United player Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri, the younger brother of Bailey-Tye Cadamarteri.
The forward line is completed by Dajaune Brown, Kaheim Dixon, Raheem Edwards, Bailey-Tye Cadamarteri, and Tivoli Gardens FC’s Nickalia Fuller.
The goalkeeping unit includes 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup Best Goalkeeper Tafari Chambers of Mount Pleasant, along with Joshua Grant and Coniah Boyce-Clarke.
The 2026 Unity Cup will run from May 26 to 30. The four-nation international football tournament, featuring Nigeria, Jamaica, Zimbabwe and India, will be hosted at the Valley Stadium in London.
