The National Water Commission (NWC) says it is conducting an assessment to undertake the necessary repair work at the Beverly Water Treatment Site in St. Ann.

This, as dozens of customers in Beverly and its environs have been without water for some time.

The NWC says the water supply disruption is due to damage sustained at the Beverly entombment. 

It has not provided a timeline for the completion of repairs.

In the interim, the Commission said it is providing trucked water upon request. 

It appealed to residents not to tamper with or damage the entombment area, while noting that it is the main water source to supply the community.
