NWA says roadway from Spanish Town to Bog Walk in St. Catherine now open
The National Works Agency (NWA) says the roadway from Spanish Town to Bog walk in St. Catherine is now open to vehicular traffic.
The road which was blocked at several locations since the passage of Hurricane Melissa is now fully cleared.
The traffic lights at flat bridge are also now in operation.
Meanwhile, the NWA is urging commuters to exercise extreme caution, while using the roadway from Williamsfield to Glengoffe, also in St. Catherine.
Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, says that the roadway which was blocked has been cleared, but there are issues in the vicinity of freedom.
Mr. Shaw says there have been recurring blockages by landslides at this location and motorists should remain vigilant while using that road.
The NWA is urging all motorists to exercise caution while using the roadways across the island, particularly in areas still experiencing rainfall.
