NWA reports flooding, landslides and other rain-related impacts in at least 4 parishes
The National Works Agency (NWA) has reported that several roads in at least 4 parishes have been impacted by heavy rains.
There are reports of flooding, silt build-up, rock falls, landslides, and fallen trees, in St Andrew, St Thomas, St Catherine and Manchester.
NWA Communications Manager Stephen Shaw said teams have been dispatched to clear some of the affected roadways.
He said Ward Avenue in Manchester, posed a challenge because the drain runs through private property.
He is advising motorists to avoid using the Spanish Town to Bernard Lodge roadway in St Catherine.
