NWA received 15 reports of fallen trees, rockfalls, downed powerlines, landslides across the island as Hurricane Melissa approaches

The National Works Agency (NWA) has so far received 15 reports of fallen trees, rockfalls, downed powerlines and landslides across the island as Hurricane Melissa approaches.

Works Minister, Robert Morgan, made the disclosure during a special press briefing this morning.

Mr. Morgan noted that the NWA has begun clearing the blockages and will continue working until it is no longer safe to do so.

The Minister is urging persons to exercise extreme caution if they have to venture outdoors.

This as rock falls are an imminent threat.
