One woman was killed in a crash in Unity Valley St Ann on Wednesday morning.

Details of the accident have not yet been released by the police.

Meantime , the Road Safety Council says the number of road deaths this year has trended down in comparison to the similar period last year.

Vice Chairman of the council Dr Lucien Jones says the number of road deaths now stand at 417 in comparison to 480 last year.

However, he said the numbers still need to go under 300.
