Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones, says Jamaica is expected to exceed 400 road fatalities at the end of this year. 

He made the projection as he noted that as at yesterday 200 road fatalities had been reported. 

He said if nothing changes the over 400 road fatalities the Council was hoping to avoid will happen. 

Dr. Jones said if a public education campaign on the proper use of the road is not implemented, along with the installation of CCTV cameras to detect especially speeding infractions, the country will record over 400 road deaths.
