Normalcy returns to Spanish Town following fatal shooting of alleged gang leader
The St. Catherine North police are reporting that normalcy has returned to Spanish Town following the fatal shooting of an alleged leader of the One Order gang.
Dead is Othniel Lobban otherwise called ‘Thickman.’ Lobban was fatally shot by police at about 10:00 PM in Six Miles, St. Andrew on Wednesday.
He was reportedly listed by the police as one of the top 5 most wanted individuals.
It’s reported that Spanish Town residents upset about his killing used debris to block several roadways within the area.
Speaking to IRIE FM News this morning, head of the St. Catherine North police Superintendent Hopton Nicholson noted that businesses are opening up and citizens are going about their business for the most part.
However, he said police presence is still strong in the area.
When asked about threats against the police, he said the threat level is still high and his officers remain extremely vigilant.
