NMIA management to meet with Environment and Climate Change Ministry at 1pm, to address Met Office workers’ woes
The management of the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston is slated to meet with Minister with responsibility for the environment and climate change, Matthew Samuda at 1 pm today (March 20).
This to address concerns of met office workers who have been restive, after being relocated to what they have described as an unsatisfactory work environment.
The workers’ agitation has resulted in recent industrial action, as they registered their discontent over the relocation.
Speaking with IRIE FM news, Mr Samuda said his position is that the airport must provide a suitable working environment for the workers.
