Ninja Man appeal hearing postponed
The appeal hearing for entertainer Ninja Man and his two co-convicts has been postponed once again due to unresolved issues regarding legal representation.
The matter, which was scheduled to begin this week with oral arguments, is now expected to be heard during the week of March 23 next year.
The delay stems from complications involving co-convict Dennis Clayton, whose previous attorney became ill. A new lawyer was retained only days before the scheduled start of the appeal, leaving insufficient time to review the extensive case documents.
Ninja Man, his son, and Clayton were sentenced to life in 2017 for the 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson in the Lower Mall Road area of St Andrew.
They were convicted of murder and shooting with intent, following evidence presented by prosecutors that the incident arose from a domestic dispute.
