Nigy Boy hints at mistreatment at Reggae Sumfest

Fast-rising entertainer Nigy Boy has subtly implied that he was ill-treated at Reggae Sumfest.

In a post shared to his official Instagram page, the visually impaired artist, who delivered a stellar set on Festival Night 2, hinted at the difficulties he faced.

He captioned the post: “Despite the unforeseen difficulties and ill-treatment displayed, I want to thank @reggaesumfest for providing me the platform to showcase my talents to the world.”

However, when Music News contacted Cordell “Skatta” Burrell, a member of the Reggae Sumfest organizing team, about the mistreatment Nigy Boy referred to, he said, “I’m seriously not aware of this and I’m 100% sure this is not the case.”

Skatta also told Music News that no one from Nigy Boy’s team “has reached out in an official capacity; however, they seem to always find social media first.”

In the caption of the social media post, Nigy Boy also expressed gratitude to God, Jamaica for their continued support, his community in Flanker Montego Bay, his family for their unwavering support, and his team for their relentless efforts.

Nigy Boy’s performance on Festival Night 2 was a highlight of Reggae Sumfest, alongside notable acts like Beres Hammond, Baby Face, Sevana, and Christopher Ellis among others.
