Nicholas Axeman’ Walters returns to the ring on March 8
Former World Boxing champion Nicholas Axeman Walters makes another step into the ring next month in the co-main event on his second Probox Tv Card on March 8, in Long Beach, California.
The 39 year old former WBA World Featherweight Champion with three wins under his belt since returning from a 7 year exile will line up against the Mexican Luis Torres in a lightweight contest.
The Mexican has a ring record of 20 wins ,11 via knockout and one loss, while Walters is 29-1-1 with 22 knockouts
In his first pro-box fight on March 27 last year Walters produced a unanimous decision over former prospect Joseph Adorno at the Probox Facility in Florida.
Walters speaking on Irie Fm’s Whats the Score show last night says this lightweight non-title fight is the gateway for a shot at a world title fight.
The March 8 card is headlined by three-time Featherweight title challenger Joet Gonzalez, who is 26 and 4 with 15 knockouts against Arnold Khegai who has a record of 22-1-1 with 14 knockouts.
