Nicholas ‘axe man’ Walters makes successful return to big time boxing
Jamaica’s former WBA World Featherweight champion Nicholas ‘axe man’ Walters produced a statement performance last night with a successful return to big time boxing.
The 38 year old Walters the 5-1 underdog scored a 10 round unanimous decision win over 24 year old American Joseph ”blessed hands” Adorno to claim the vacant WBA Continental America belt
Waters returning from an almost 7 year layoff moved up in weight for the contest on the pro-box tv’s Wednesday night fight series at Whitesands Probox Events center in Plant City, Florida,
Adorno was deducted a point for a punch after the bell in round nine as the judges scored the fight 95-94, 97-92, 98-91
Walters says with this fight behind him he is now looking forward to a title fight
Walters now improve his ring record to 29 wins – 22 via knockout, one loss and one draw, as Adorno drops to 18 wins….. 15 by knockout, 4 losses and two draws.
