NHT management and unions to meet tomorrow following sick out by workers today
The Management of the National Housing Trust, NHT and the unions representing the company’s workers are to meet, tomorrow.
This, after some NHT workers staged a sick-out today, disrupting operations at several offices, islandwide.
The workers are reportedly upset about the lack of a positive and definitive response from the company, and the Finance Ministry regarding the implementation of a job evaluation exercise, which started in 2018, and ended in 2021.
The Union of Clerical Administrative and Supervisory Employees, UCASE is one of two unions representing the workers.
While explaining the issue General Secretary John Levy told Irie FM News that none of its members participated in today’s sick out.
He expressed hope that tomorrow’s meeting slated for 10 a-m, will result in a resolution of the matter.
