NHT loan limit to be increased July 1
Effective July 1, 2025, the individual loan limit at the National Housing Trust (NHT) will increase from $7.5 million to $9 million.
This announcement was made by Prime Minister DR Andrew Holness in the budget debate Thursday.
He stated that for two co-applicants, the combined maximum loan limit will rise from 15 to 17 million dollars.
For three co-applicants, the limit will increase from 21 to 23 million dollars.
Additionally, Dr Holness pointed out that for an individual mortgagor buying a property valued at 14 million dollars or less, the NHT will provide up to 12 million dollars in funding, depending on availability.
