New wrecking fees to take effect January 2 next year
In an effort to curtail and manage the wrecking service operation across the island, the Transport Authority, the police and wrecker operators, have established an agreement on new wrecking fees.
The fees come into effect on January 2, next year.
Speaking with Irie FM News, Managing Director of the Transport Authority, Ralston Smith said the agreement will govern the conduct and behavior of wrecker operators, and further manage the charge for the services they render.
Mr. Smith outlined that for motor cars, the fee will be $12,000 dollars for wrecking within a 5 kilo-meter radius of the pound.
He also explained the other fees.
