The National Housing Trust (NHT) and Henan Fifth Construction Group Jamaica Limited have pledged to complete all phases of the Mount Nelson Housing Development Project in Manchester by 2028.

Ground was broken for the development yesterday.

The project is being constructed under the NHT’s Developer’s Programme and is slated to provide 1,758 housing solutions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Andrew Holness who has responsibility for the housing portfolio said the first set of houses should be ready by July next year.

He noted that the development is designed with a comprehensive infrastructure plan to enhance the quality of life for residents.
