NERHA says closure of Boston Jerk Centre in Portland was last resort
The North East Regional Health Authority says the closure of the Boston Jerk Centre in Portland was a last resort, and the opportunity exists for persons to resume operations once they meet required health standards.
The internationally-recognized jerk centre was ordered closed by the Portland Public Health Department last Friday.
Speaking with IRIE FM News, Regional Environmental Health Officer, Karen Brown says the shutdown followed several inspections, over time.
Ms. Brown notes that the Jerk Centre had been on the public health department’s radar since it first ordered a closure of the facility in 2016.
