Nephew listed as person of interest after burnt, dismembered remains of elderly uncle found in St. Andrew
The nephew of an elderly man whose dismembered, burnt remains were found in Cavaliers, Stony Hill, St. Andrew yesterday (June 6) has been named as a person of interest in relation to his murder.
Dead is 77-year-old Derrick Lindsay of Brooks Level Road, Stony Hill.
Yesterday, Mr. Lindsay’s nephew – Samuel Waldo – was named by the Constant Spring Police as a person of interest.
Reports are that Mr. Lindsay was reported missing on Saturday, at about 8:00 p.m.
Investigations led to Mr. Waldo’s house, where blood stains were reportedly found inside his home.
The police and residents launched a search and Mr. Lindsay’s dismembered, burnt remains were found in bushes in the community about 11:00 a.m, yesterday.
Samuel Waldo is being urged to turn himself into the police immediately as efforts to contact him have proven futile.
In the meantime, anyone with information that can assist the police in their investigation is being asked to contact the Constant Spring Criminal Investigations Branch at 876-924-1421, the police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
