NCB increasing banking fees for the third time in 3 years; cites rising operational costs as the reason
For the third time in as many years, the National Commercial Bank (NCB) is increasing several fees associated with its banking services.
The bank last revised fees in November 2023 and before that in January 2022.
In a statement to customers, NCB says that starting December 1, it will adjust its fee structure due to rising operational costs.
It says these include network and security costs, investments in technology, material, utility, and equipment costs.
According to NCB, while it has absorbed much of these costs to minimise the increases, it must make some changes to ensure it can continue providing quality service in a sustainable way.
Among the fees impacted are those for ACH transfers to accounts at other local banks and cashing of manager’s cheques.
Fees for withdrawals and the replacement of debit cards remain unchanged.
