National Works Agency to implement major traffic changes in Lucea, Hanover
Commuters should brace for traffic changes in the town of Lucea, Hanover, starting tomorrow.
This is part of the National Works Agency’s efforts to reduce the level of congestion in the town during the festive season.
The Agency’s Community Relations Officer for the Western Region, Janel Ricketts said one major change includes the conversion of Willie Delisser Drive to a dual carriageway.
Following consultations with stakeholders about persistent traffic congestion, Ms Ricketts said the agency also decided on permanent changes to improve traffic flow.
Motorists are being advised to obey the posted warning signs and instructions of members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, who will provide support to commuters as they get accustomed to the changes.
